Google buys Zingku, a mobile social network

It would appear that Google is making further strides into the mobile phone space. Their latest acquisition, announced today, is Zingku, a self-proclaimed "mobile social network." The service allows users to do a number of things straight from their mobile phones via old fashioned text messages. Read about their full list of features at their website, zingku.com.

I don't know how people could read this and not be convinced that Google has a very serious interest in the mobile arena. I very firmly believe they are, in fact, building their own cellphone. I will be first in line when they launch that hotness. :-)
