Walt Mossberg, an influential technology writer for the Wall Street Journal has written a very firm and to-the-point blog post regarding the sad state of the cellphone industry in the United States. He even goes so far as to say that the US is the laughingstock of the rest of the world due to our stifling policies. He insists that either outside the box innovation (like the
Google Phone) or government intervention (like the deregulation of landlines in 80's) is needed to make any change in the market.
