The "Sniffing" Plant

Scientists have recently discovered some new information about a previously known plant. The dodder plant, a parasite that feeds on farm crops such as tomatoes and wheat, seems to have the ability to "smell" it's target. When researchers placed a tomato plant near a seedling, the dodder headed right toward it 80 percent of the time. And it wasn't fooled by any decoys.

Check it out, it's really cool stuff!
