Monkey House

The house we're staying in on our vacation is really nice. It's three stories tall, has decks that wrap 3/4 of the way around on the two upper floors, has a game room, two rooms with big TVs and surround sound, big kitchen, leather couches...the works.

But. There seems to be some strange obsession with monkeys:

There are pictures of monkeys in the entryway to the house...

These are the pillar supports beneath the huge dining room table...

This is the clock in the living room with the LCD TV...

And, lastly, this is the pattern on the chairs and pillows in the living room.
Yes, those are monkeys playing golf.

Don't get me wrong, there are other animal decorations around the house. Such as the elephant statues in the living room, the painted wooden fish in our room, etc. But I don't know what's up with the monkeys. The weirdest ones are the table supports. I think they're freakin' cool. :-)

Today we hung out on the beach for a little while, but it's cold down here! It's very windy on the beach and the air and water are cold. So we were all sitting on the beach wrapped in towels and wearing hooded sweatshirts. It was quite comical. And tonight we went to the beach just as it was getting dark to look for the "ghost crabs." They're little, transparent crabs that dig tiny holes on the beach:
