Space Shuttle Discovery Launch

Today, the space shuttle Discovery launched for a visit to the International Space Station. It launched at 5:00 Eastern Time. I had the news on to watch the launch, and when it lifted off, I stepped outside and looked east, totally not expecting to see anything.

But then, very suddenly, there it was. It looked like a fireball shooting upwards trailing a ridiculous amount of smoke. I recorded it, though you obviously can't see the shuttle itself, just the fire and smoke. I was too far away to see more than that.

Check out the video! Maybe next time we'll drive over and watch it from close up. :-)
