A team of scientists from Canada have just released their findings on a new examination of the famous Mona Lisa painting. Due to years of grime and varnish covering up the painting, many details have been obscured. But a new scanning technique, used to examine the painting from the front and back have revealed, among other things, that Mona originally had her hair up and that she was either pregnant or had just given birth at the time of the painting.
