Liquid-Crystal Glasses?

Now this is where the field of tech medicine is going. Reports of implantible robots to kill germs are still very much in the "someday" phase. But this is a great, practical idea that the article says could see the light of day within 3 years or so.

It's a pair of glasses that uses the same technology in a flat, LCD monitor. Electronic signels run through the crystals, causing them to turn on or off. By varrying this signal, the glasses can change their focusing power almost instantly. Sensors monitor the eye to see where it's focusing and automatically focus on that point. So all a person must do is look at something and the glasses focus on it. How cool is that??
